Junior Accountant

Junior Accountant: Join our dynamic team as a Junior Accountant. We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong Junior Accountant to join our Finance team. This role is suited to an individual with solid bookkeeping and reconciliation experience who thrives in a structured finance environment and enjoys working with accuracy, accountability, and deadlines.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial processing, reconciliations, and reporting integrity across the business. The role offers exposure to a dynamic group environment and interaction with multiple departments, banks, and auditors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Processing financial transactions accurately and in accordance with internal controls and accounting policies
• Perform bank, balance sheet and intercompany recons
• Assist with month-end and year-end accounting processes
• Investigate and resolve reconciliation differences, posting errors and timing variances
• Support audit preparation through accurate documentation and information gathering
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding expenses, allocations, and supporting documentation
• Assist with foreign currency and intercompany accounting reconciliations
• Ensure accounting records remain complete, accurate, and audit-ready

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, or BCom
• A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) is preferred.
• 2 to 4 years’ bookkeeping experience to trial balance level
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience within a structured finance environment
• Working knowledge of accounting principles and IFRS fundamentals
• Experience using cloud-based accounting systems and reporting tools
• Strong reconciliation and analytical skills
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy

       Advantageous

• Exposure to multi-entity or group finance environments
• Experience dealing with auditors and banking platforms
• Foreign currency accounting exposure
